This incident resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
